Tesco / Everton Planning Application letter of support

Feb 2008

Primary Fluid Power have today registered their support in a letter to the council for the proposed new stadium and Tesco development in Kirkby.

The owner and management of Primary Fluid Power whose routes stem from Kirkby are proud of its long history in Knowsley, which has been established here for over 30 years in manufacturing and distributing Hydraulic Systems and components throughout the UK, Europe, USA and China. Recently recognised  Best Overall Company in Knowsley 2006 Honoured for enterprise, investment, innovating, environment and contribution to the community, with specific mention to the apprenticeship and training program. The majority of the work force of up to 100 people who are mainly drawn from the immediate area with mixed loyalties in football support the proposals.

We firmly believe the proposal is perceptive by Tesco for the area and astute of the councillors associated with the project who see the greater benefits to the local community beyond the issues of Football and Shops. We believe the development of the stadium to be crucial not only to Everton but the success of the development and the continued inward investment and enterprise in the borough and that is why the management and staff of Primary Fluid Power will be supporting the enterprise in this application.
