Primary Fluid Power offer excellent opportunities for young people to develop a career within the Fluid Power sector via a 3 or 4 year apprenticeship in mechanical fitting, fabrication & welding, CNC machine operator and electrical wiring and panel fitting trades. Our apprenticeship program may require you to attend a local college one day a week to achieve City & Guilds and practical trade certification. To progress your qualifications further you will attend occupational training at the National Fluid Power Centre together with comprehensive in house training giving experience in each of the above trade disciplines that may include on-site installation or drawing office design experience.

The final part of training will have a clear focus on your adopted trade and may continue to HND level / BFPA Certified Qualifications. Systems engineers development will be offered to apprentices who are selected and completed the pre requisite training route to a high standard.

Minimum application criteria  –

• 18 years of age

• 3 GCSE grade C’s or above

  and

• Pass Primary Fluid Power Mechanical aptitude test

  Or

• already Attended college and achieved City and Guilds level 2

Apprenticeships are not limited and more recently we have extended the program in purchasing / accountancy.
